Field Service Belt Splicer (Heavy Industry, Mineral Processing, Quarry or Mining Experience Wanted)

We currently have multiple splicing vacancies over QLD, including FIFO/DIDO roles and local work.

We're looking for an experienced Belt Splicer / Field Service Technician to join the teams in hands-on workshop and field-based roles, splicing, maintaining and repairing conveyor belting across a range of sites and equipment.

This is a great opportunity for a splicer from a Mining, Quarrying, Mineral Processing, Heavy Industry or Conveyor Belt background who is looking for a varied role and the chance to develop their skills across different sites and belt types.

Key Responsibilities

- Splicing, maintaining and repairing conveyor belts and associated equipment
- Carrying out preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and repairs
- Diagnosing and fault-finding belt and conveyor system issues
- Attending breakdowns and carrying out repairs onsite and in the workshop




- Carrying out breakdown response and troubleshooting
- Communicating directly with customers and providing professional onsite service
- Supporting general workshop duties and keeping equipment maintained to a high standard
- Ensuring all equipment is safe, reliable and ready for customers

What You'll Need

- Experience with multiple splicing methods
- Relevant trade qualification or equivalent industry experience (highly regarded but not essential)
- Robust mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
- Experience with mechanical and hydraulic systems (desirable)
- Professional approach when dealing directly with customers
- Current driver’s licence
