At Lactalis Australia, we produce some of the country's most recognised dairy brands. Our Stanhope facility operates around the clock using advanced electrical, automation and process control systems that support the manufacture of products supplied throughout Australia and international markets.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Maintenance Team as a 1st Year Electrical Apprentice and complete a Certificate III in Electrotechnology.
Working alongside qualified Electricians, you will receive hands-on training while developing the technical skills and experience required to become a trade-qualified Electrician within a large-scale manufacturing setting. Manufacturing apprenticeships commonly provide exposure to industrial maintenance, automation and fault-finding across modern production facilities.
What You'll Learn
Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll gain practical experience in:
- Industrial electrical maintenance
- Fault finding and troubleshooting
- Motors, drives and control systems
- PLCs, instrumentation and automation
- Electrical safety and isolation procedures
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Continuous improvement and reliability practices
- Working within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has completed Year 10 or higher
- Has a genuine interest in electrical systems and technology
- Enjoys problem solving and understanding how equipment works
- Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn
- Has solid communication and teamwork skills
- Is committed to working safely
- Holds a current driver's licence or is actively working towards obtaining one
A Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Pre-Apprenticeship) will be highly regarded but is not essential. Pre-apprenticeship qualifications are commonly identified as a valuable pathway into electrical apprenticeships in Victoria.
