Senior Fire Safety Engineer – Buildings & Places (Brisbane, Australia)

We are seeking a Senior Fire Safety Engineer to join our Buildings & Places team. This role will be based in Brisbane and will support the design, assessment and management of fire safety for new buildings, refurbishments and related infrastructure projects within Queensland.

How you'll make a difference

- Provide substantial technical expertise of fire engineering, from first principles to leading large‑scale projects from concept stage through to building occupation.
- Manage client relationships and project coordination across a variety of markets.
- Develop performance‑based fire engineering strategies across a range of building types.
- Mentor team members and support professional accreditation where appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience

- 5+ years’ experience as a Fire Safety Engineer.
- Engineering qualification, preferably in Fire Engineering.




- Deep understanding of the Building Code of Australia and Australian Fire Engineering Guidelines.
- Experience leading fire engineering projects and securing approval from authorities.
- Experience preparing Performance-Based Design Briefs, Fire Engineering Reports and Fire Engineering Strategies.
