About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Loan & Settlements Officer to join our Settlements & Discharges Team. The role focuses on managing construction loans after settlement, from processing progress drawdowns through to assessing and completing loan variations.

Your role will include, but is not limited to:

Processing progress drawdowns for construction loans, including:

reviewing builder progress claims, QS and valuer progress reports, statutory declarations and insurance;

confirming each loan remains in balance (funds held cover the cost to complete);

preparing drawdowns for approval and release.

Assessing loan variation requests, including extensions, limit increases, partial discharges and security substitutions, and preparing credit recommendations for approval.

Facilitating consents to second mortgages, subdivisions and other security changes.

Facilitating the discharge of customer loan accounts, including payout figures.





Producing loan statements and account information for customers.

Uploading loan documentation and maintaining accurate data within Funding.com.au’s CRM.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, brokers, builders, solicitors and other lenders.

What Are We Looking For?

Someone who possesses:

At least 1–2 years’ recent experience in mortgages, settlements or loan administration within financial services.

Experience with construction loans, progress payments or loan variations is highly regarded.

The ability to read and interpret building contracts, QS reports, valuations and title searches.

Sound judgement and an interest in credit assessment.

Strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage time-sensitive drawdowns alongside a busy workload.

Excellent communication and service skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Someone who enjoys working with processes and finding better ways to do things.

A positive attitude and a strong team player.
