Reporting directly to the directors, you'll take full ownership of Broadbean Catering's operations at the National Museum of Australia. You'll be the primary point of contact for the Museum, lead a team of four department managers, and make sure every event and every coffee meets the standard our clients expect.

Key responsibilities

Act as Broadbean's primary representative with the National Museum of Australia, leading all venue meetings and managing our contractual obligations and reporting

Lead and develop our Event Coordinator, Event Sales Manager, Function Manager and Café Manager

Oversee event sales, coordination and delivery from enquiry through to event day

Oversee café operations, including service standards, staffing and performance

Oversee back-of-house operations in partnership with the kitchen team

Oversee HR in conjunction with department managers

Work closely with the directors on food offerings for events and the café

Provide regular reporting to the directors on performance, financials, client relationships and operational matters





Manage budgets, labour costs and operational targets

Ensure compliance with food safety, WHS and licensing requirements

About you

Senior management experience in hospitality, catering or venue operations, ideally in a multi-outlet or institutional setting

Proven experience managing managers and building strong, secure teams

Confident in stakeholder and contract management, with the diplomacy to manage a long-term client relationship

Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting, P&L; and sales performance

Calm, organised and hands‑on when needed, with an eye for detail
