That's where you come in.
The role
This isn't a "sit there and do data entry" job.
You'll be the people-facing side of our operations. Our Operations Administrator processes the orders. You own everything around them: the customers, the sales reps, the warehouse, the carriers and the problems that pop up in between.
When an order goes sideways, you'll be the first to know, and the one who sorts it out.
You'll report to our Financial Controller and work closely with Sales, Warehouse and P&C.;
What you'll actually do
- Be the go-to contact for customer and sales enquiries about orders
- Manage order changes, backorders and delivery updates, including when the news isn't good
- Book freight, track consignments and chase delivery issues until they're fixed
- Produce regular stock reports and flag problems early
- Reconcile company credit cards and look after sales agreements
- Manage shared inboxes so nothing sits unanswered
- Support our P&C; team with onboarding paperwork, employee records and recruitment admin
- Keep the office running and help out the Sales and Warehouse teams wherever they need it
What we're looking for
- Experience in customer service, operations coordination or a busy admin role
- Confidence on the phone and in a tricky conversation. You can say no politely and chase without being a pain
- Strong attention to detail. You get it right under pressure
- Comfortable across systems and Excel. ERP or freight booking experience is a plus
- Discreet with confidential information
- Organised, calm and good at juggling competing priorities
- Practical and commercial. You care about getting it right, not about process for its own sake
