We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter/Welder/Boilermakers to take on a role within our maintenance team. This position involves shutdown works, project tasks, and routine maintenance across quarry, concrete, and asphalt operations throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.
This is a hands-on role requiring technical ability, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Duties
- Work in coordination with maintenance crews on shutdowns and projects
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on fixed and mobile plant equipment
- Perform welding, oxy-cutting, and general mechanical tasks
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed efficiently to maximise plant performance
- Work across both site and workshop environments
- Follow all safety systems, including SOPs, JHAs, and permit requirements
Skills & Experience
- Trade-qualified Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter
- Proficient in MIG, Arc, and Flux Core welding
- Experience with air arc gouging and bucket/body repairs
- Background working with quarry, mining, or heavy industry equipment
- Robust understanding of workplace safety practices
- Reliable and adaptable with a strong work ethic
Role Requirements
- Willingness to work 50-60 hours per week, including nights and weekends
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Current driver's licence and own transport
- Basic personal tools
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
