About the role
As a Casual Cook / Cafe All Rounder, you will perform a variety of tasks in the kitchen and café counter, ensuring that every customer enjoys an exceptional experience. Your responsibilities will include food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality food for both dine-in and take-away customers.
- Operate specialist coffee and tea equipment to craft beverages.
- Breakfast and Lunch meal preparation and serving.
- Keep the kitchen and café counters clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Adhere to the Food Safety Program, including temperature checks and documentation.
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining café equipment,
ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Serve food with attention to presentation and portion size.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and approachable manner, addressing queries and requests.
- Assist with cash register operations and financial duties as needed.
What you'll need
- Previous experience in a kitchen or café environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and volunteers.
