An accomplished General Manager is sought to oversee a collection of premium hospitality venues located in close proximity to one another in Melbourne's CBD. The portfolio comprises a diverse mix of restaurants, private dining and bar experiences, including award-winning hatted restaurants, contemporary casual dining and cocktail bar. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute and people-focused leader to take responsibility for the overall performance of multiple venues, each with its own identity, team and guest offering. Reporting to senior leadership, the General Manager will provide strategic and operational oversight across the collection of venues, working closely with individual venue managers and culinary leaders to drive performance, maintain exceptional standards and create alignment across the business.

Key responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple venues within a close-knit CBD portfolio, ensuring operational excellence and consistent standards

Take ownership of financial results across the collection, including P&L; management, budgets, forecasting, labour costs and profitability

Lead, mentor and develop venue managers and senior teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement

Champion exceptional hospitality across every concept,



ensuring each venue delivers an experience aligned with its individual positioning

Partner with senior leadership to identify opportunities for growth, improve efficiencies and strengthen overall business performance

Build management capability, establish explicit performance expectations and develop a strong pipeline of future hospitality leaders

Ensure compliance across food safety, workplace health and safety, responsible service of alcohol and employment obligations

Encourage collaboration between venue teams, culinary leaders and support functions while preserving the individuality of each offering

About you

Proven experience as a General Manager, Group General Manager or senior multi-venue operator

Strong commercial acumen and a demonstrated ability to drive financial performance across multiple outlets

The ability to lead, motivate and develop experienced venue management teams

A deep understanding of premium service standards and the importance of delivering exceptional guest experiences

Strong communication, stakeholder management and decision-making skills

A hands-on leadership style, with the ability to move between strategic oversight and operational detail

A genuine passion for hospitality, food, beverage and building high-performing teams
