The Opportunity:

Are you Bench Handwith an interest in developing your skills further in shotfiring and explosives? Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Bench Hand to join our high-performing team at Olive Downs.

As a key member of the Olive Downsteam, you'll be responsible for assisting our shotfirers in the preparation of mining benches for shot firing across our site at Olive Downs.

Roster: 7/7 Day Shift Only| Location: Olive Downs Complex, QLD | Employment Type: Permanent Full Time

As a Bench Hand, you will:

- Prepare blast hole patterns for shot firing, including the loading of explosives under the guidance of authorised personnel.
- Assist with pre and post blast inspections (including performing blast guard duties)
- Performing stock taking activities of explosives and assisting with the loading of explosives into Stemming and MPU Trucks

About You:

- Current SSAN Explosives Clearance
- Current S11 Surface Induction.
- Demonstrated previous employment experience as a bench hand within the mining industry in QLD.
- Have a high level of attention to detail and compliance with safety procedures.
