Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll set up and run our CNC plasma cutter and press brake. You'll make accurate components that keep our fabrication and fitout teams moving.

Key responsibilities

Read drawings and cut lists, then check material, thickness and quantities before you start

Set up and run the CNC plasma using approved programs and nests

Set up and run the press brake, including choosing tooling and the bend sequence

Check first-off and in-process parts against tolerances

Keep material use, offcuts and scrap low, and keep parts allocated to the right job

Follow safe work procedures, do pre-start checks and keep your area clean

Record quantities, job times and downtime, and flag issues early

Qualifications & Experience

Experience on CNC plasma and/or press brake in metal fabrication (both is a bonus)

Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring tools

Understanding of steel grades,



thicknesses and safe material handling

Heavy trailer experience, and experience with CNC nesting or ERP systems (both a plus)

A forklift licence or lifting tickets, if relevant

A reliable, safety-first attitude and good attention to detail
