About the role

As Production Team Leader, you'll be at the heart of our daily production operations. You'll provide visible, hands-on leadership on the floor, coordinate people and workflow, and ensure production runs safely, smoothly and to the required standards.

Working closely with the Supervisor, Production Manager, Maintenance and QA/QC teams,



you'll help maintain production performance while fostering a culture of safety, accountability and teamwork.

What you'll be doing

- Lead from the front: Provide hands-on leadership, set clear expectations and promote a fair, respectful and accountable team culture.
- Drive production performance: Coordinate labour, manage workflow, maintain line flow and support shift output targets.
- Put safety first: Identify hazards, reinforce protected work practices, support toolbox talks and promptly report and escalates risks, incidents and near misses.
- Champion quality and food safety: Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, allergen controls, hygiene standards and Critical Control Points (CCPs).
- Keep production moving: Identify equipment issues, record downtime and work with relevant teams to address disruptions.
- Support your people: Assist with on-the-job training, competency verification, effective delegation and team development.
- Deliver for customers: Support on-time, in-full delivery of products that meet specification.

What you'll bring

You’ll ideally bring:

- Production or process work experience, preferably in food manufacturing
- An understanding of workplace safety, food safety and quality requirements
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- A positive, fair and accountable leadership approach
