Snr Network Security Engineer- Juniper SRX, Fortigate, F5- Major Bank

A major bank in Sydney is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer with strong hands on and firewalls - Juniper SRX and Fortigate and F5 experience. This is an initial 12 month contract likely to extend. (2 days a week in the office) Responsibilities

Provide technical consultation to business/technology stakeholders Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access Manage and optimise network and security systems, including installation, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Develop and maintain disaster recovery, backup, and restore procedures. Conduct risk assessments, root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes. Contribute to network design, architecture, and capacity planning. Provide technical consultation and documentation Key Skills / Experience





Robust hands-on and recent experience on Next-gen enterprise firewalls(Juniper SRX and Fortigate)with focus on firewall configuration, build, routing and security policy analysis and compliance. Experience on developing low-level design document for enterprise security architecture. Load Balancing design, build and implementation experience(F5 - LTM, GTM, APM), building proxies and authentication profiles. Experience on using Automation and scripting skills(Python, Ansible, Terraform etc)- desirable Enterprise Switching and Routing configuration experience Experience working with various network tools and some experience in automation.
