About the role

Villa Del Sole is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses to join our team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a nursing professional looking for flexible work arrangements whilst making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults. Based in Glenroy, VIC 3046, you will provide high-quality aged care nursing services in a supportive and person-centred environment. As a casual team member, you will have the flexibility to work according to your availability whilst maintaining continuity of care for our residents.

Key responsibilities

As a Registered in our aged care facility, you will:

- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care needs

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with pharmaceutical regulations

- Monitor residents' health status and vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing team and medical practitioners

- Support residents with activities of daily living and personal hygiene, maintaining dignity and independence wherever possible

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised care plans

- Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with aged care standards

- Respond to residents' physical and emotional needs with empathy and professionalism

- Assist with wound care, catheter management and other clinical procedures as required

- Communicate effectively with residents,



families and staff members to ensure quality outcomes

- Maintain a safe, clean and hygienic workplace in accordance with infection control protocols

What we're looking for

To be successful in this casual Registered Nurse role, you should possess:

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1.

- Demonstrated experience in aged care nursing or similar healthcare settings

- Strong knowledge of aged care standards, guidelines and best practice principles

- Proficiency in medication management and clinical procedures relevant to aged care

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Compassion and patience when working with older adults and their families

- Solid organisational and time management skills to manage multiple residents and priorities

- Current First Aid/CPR certification

- Ability to work flexibly across varying shifts as required in a casual capacity

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards

- Italian speaking prefferd but not essential.
