Prepare and cook a variety of meats and dishes using a smoker, gyroscope and open-fire BBQ in our outdoor cooking area set amongst beautiful gardens. Take ownership of the outdoor BBQ section during weekend services, maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency. Manage preparation, cooking and service in a busy outdoor environment, working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service. Maintain excellent food safety, cleanliness and equipment standards, and engage with guests to contribute to the unique dining experience at The Doonan.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meats and dishes using smoker, gyroscope and open-fire BBQ

About you
- Previous experience as a chef in a commercial kitchen
- A genuine passion for BBQ, smoking, grilling and live-fire cooking
- Experience with Asado-style cooking, smokers or rotisserie equipment would be highly regarded
- Confident managing your own section and working independently
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Availability Friday to Sunday
