Help children in Gunbalanya thrive – from infancy to adolescence
Are you passionate about child and adolescent health and ready to make a lasting difference in a remote community? Red Lily Health Board Aboriginal Corporation is looking for a Child and Youth Health Nurse to join our Gunbalanya Health Centre team.
This role embeds child and youth health within the remote health centre, so care is proactive, preventative and focused on development – not only a response to illness. As an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO), Red Lily puts community at the centre of everything we do.
About Gunbalanya
Gunbalanya (Oenpelli) is a remote Aboriginal community of around 1,350 people in Arnhem Land, about 60 km north-east of Jabiru and 320 km east of Darwin. Kunwinjku is the main language. The community is reached by road via the Arnhem Highway, although the East Alligator River crossing can close during the wet season.
Gunbalanya is a dry community with a 25-metre pool, arts and crafts centre, sports oval, basketball courts and youth centre.
More information about our communities is available at https://redlily.org.au/community-profiles/
