About the role

Villa Del Sole is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to join our aged and disability support team in Glenroy, VIC. This is a casual position that offers flexible working arrangements to suit your availability. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents by providing essential personal care and assistance to elderly individuals. Your work will directly improve the quality of life for our clients, helping them maintain their independence and dignity whilst living in their own homes or our facilities.

Key responsibilities

- Providing personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting support to clients

- Assisting with mobility and transfers, using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment

- Supporting clients with meal preparation and feeding as required

- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping and laundry duties

- Monitoring client health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to supervisors or care coordinators

- Building positive relationships with clients and treating them with respect, dignity and compassion

- Maintaining accurate records and documentation as required

- Adhering to all health, safety and infection control procedures

- Supporting clients with activities of daily living and social engagement where appropriate.

We are looking for enthusiastic PCAs who are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care and supporting our residents to maintain their dignity, independence and quality of life.

Essential Requirements

- Previous experience working in residential aged care is essential.

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.

- Excellent personal care and communication skills.

- Understanding of residents' individual needs and preferences.

- Ability to work effectively within a team.

- Compassionate, patient and respectful attitude.





- Reliable, flexible and committed to quality care.

Desirable

- Italian-speaking candidates are highly preferred, as we value the ability to communicate with and support our Italian-speaking residents.

- An understanding and appreciation of Italian culture and traditions.
