About the role

Smart Landscapes is taking on a full-time apprentice landscaper. The apprentice will train towards a Certificate III in Landscape Construction while working on residential builds across the Mornington Peninsula and Bayside: hard and soft landscaping, paving, walls, decking, irrigation and planting.

Key responsibilities

- Work with the build crew on garden builds from start to finish
- Learn to read plans, set out, excavate, lay and finish
- Use and look after tools and small machinery safely
- Keep sites tidy and treat every client's home with respect

About you

- Enthusiasm, a good work ethic and a willingness to learn
- Enjoys being outdoors and working with your hands
- Reliable, on time and happy to work in a team
- Driver's licence, or working towards one
- No experience needed. School leavers and career changers welcome

- Paid apprenticeship leading to a Certificate III in Landscape Construction
- Paid above Award apprentice rates, starting at $20.00/hr for 18 to 20 year olds, with a pay rise each year
- Weekday hours, 7:00am–3:30pm, with weekends and public holidays off
- Hands-on training from an experienced crew, plus time at TAFE or an RTO
- Variety: paving, retaining walls, decking, irrigation, planting and turf
- Uniform, PPE and quality tools supplied
