Spartan Group of Companies is seeking a reliable, hands-on and motivated Yard Hand to join our team.
This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operations of a yard, with a focus on the maintenance and preparation of construction hoists, equipment and materials, as well as maintaining an organised and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the maintenance, servicing and preparation of construction hoists.
- Cleaning, inspecting and maintaining hoist components and associated equipment.
- Organising, sorting and preparing materials and equipment for upcoming projects.
- Loading and unloading deliveries and organising incoming and outgoing stock.
- Maintaining an orderly, clean and safe yard and workshop environment.
- Assisting with equipment checks and general yard maintenance.
- Identifying damaged or faulty equipment and reporting issues.
- Ensuring materials and equipment are stored, maintained and readily accessible.
- Providing general operational support to the wider Spartan team.

- Previous experience in a yard, workshop, warehouse, mechanical maintenance or construction environment will be highly regarded.
- A forklift licence and driver's licence will be highly regarded.
