One team. Thousands of swimmers. Endless opportunities.
State Swim is looking for enthusiastic Swim Instructors to join our WA team across Ellenbrook, Joondalup, Butler, Whitford City, Osborne Park, Canning Vale and East Fremantle. If you're passionate about helping people learn and grow, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Opportunity

Teach a skill that last a lifetime (and have a lot of fun doing it!)

Seeing a nervous swimmer let go of the wall for the first time is extremely rewarding. As a State Swim Instructor, you’ll be the person who makes that happen, building confidence, skills and water safety that kids carry for life.

For more than 50 years we’ve been teaching Australians to swim. Today, over 30,000 families trust us every week across Australia and Singapore.

What you’ll be doing:

• Running fun, structured lessons using the State Swim program, so you’re never making it up as you go.

• Celebrating the wins, big and small: first floats, first strokes, first full lap.

• Keeping every swimmer safe, every minute they’re in the water

• Learning from experienced instructors and growing your skills

What you’ll get:

• Flexible shifts that fit around school, uni or family

• Hands-on practical training with experienced mentors

• A explicit path to grow

• Discounted swimming lessons for your family

Who we’re looking for:

• You love working with kids and seeing people improve

• You’re positive, reliable and enjoy being part of a team.

• You’re 16 or older

• No teaching experience needed. We’ll help you get qualified. Already qualified? Even better.

Why State Swim?

We put people first, and that includes our team. You’ll be supported from your first shift, surrounded by people who care about doing the right thing and being part of something that genuinely matters.

Ready to make a splash?

Whether you’re looking to start your first teaching role or take the next step in your aquatic career, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and become part of a team that’s helping create safer, stronger and more confident swimmers.
