New Graduate Physiotherapist | Daily Mentoring, Sports Rehab & Career Growth
Doveston Health | Morayfield, Brisbane QLD
Full-Time | $80,000–$90,000 per annum + Superannuation
Your First Physiotherapy Role Matters. Make It a Great One.
Graduating from university and ready to kick-start your Physiotherapy career?
You've spent years studying, completing placements and developing your clinical knowledge. Now comes the exciting part — putting everything you've learned into practice.
But choosing your first workplace is a big decision.
You want experienced clinicians you can turn to, opportunities to build confidence and the time to develop your skills without being thrown in the deep end.
At Doveston Health, we're looking for a motivated New Graduate Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Morayfield.
Whether you're graduating at the end of 2026, have recently completed your degree or are already registered and ready to begin, we'd love to hear from you.
We offer a structured New Graduate Development Program with dedicated daily mentoring, protected clinical documentation time, professional development and modern rehabilitation technology.
We don't expect you to know everything on day one. We provide the guidance and resources to help you become a confident, capable Physiotherapist.
Our New Graduate Development Program – Real Support, Not Just Promises
We understand that transitioning from university into private practice can feel overwhelming.
That's why our structured graduate program prioritises your clinical development, confidence and long-term success.
5–8 Hours of One-on-One Mentoring Every Week – Scheduled Daily
Our New Graduate Physiotherapists receive 5–8 hours of dedicated individual mentoring each week, allocated across their daily working schedules.
Rather than relying on one large weekly session, clinical support is built into your everyday routine.
You'll receive direct mentoring and guidance from our:
- Senior Physiotherapist – Clinical Lead
- Senior Physiotherapist – Clinic Manager
Your mentoring focuses on assessment skills, clinical reasoning, treatment techniques, exercise prescription, patient communication and clinical decision-making.
You'll regularly discuss patient presentations, review treatment plans, ask questions and receive constructive feedback.
Your development is built into your working week — not squeezed in between patients.
One Hour of Dedicated Clinical Note-Taking Time Every Day
Managing appointments, clinical notes and reports can be challenging when starting private practice.
That's why our New Graduate Physiotherapists receive one hour of dedicated clinical documentation time every working day.
This allows you to complete patient notes, reports and related documentation while developing efficient clinical workflows and maintaining high skilled standards.
AI-Supported Clinical Notes & Exercise Prescription Software
You'll have access to modern clinical technology, including:
- AI-supported patient note-taking software
- Digital exercise prescription software
- Clinical management and workflow systems
- Objective assessment and rehabilitation tracking tools
These resources help streamline clinical processes while allowing you to focus on patient care.
Weekly Group Clinical Training
In addition to individual mentoring, you'll participate in weekly group staff training sessions.
These sessions provide opportunities to develop practical clinical skills, discuss patient presentations, review evidence and learn alongside experienced clinicians.
Full Physio Network Subscription
You'll receive a full Physio Network subscription, providing evidence-based educational resources to support your learning and ongoing professional development.
$1,000 Annual Professional Development Allowance
We provide a $1,000 annual professional development allowance to support relevant external courses, workshops and further education.
As your interests develop, we'll help identify learning opportunities aligned with your skilled goals.
We invest in your development because we want you to become a confident, capable and successful Physiotherapist.
Why Else You'll Love Working at Doveston Health
Gradual Caseload Development
University placements and managing your own private practice caseload are different experiences.
Our approach focuses on structured onboarding, gradual caseload development and ongoing clinical support.
You'll progressively build confidence, clinical skills and independence as you gain experience.
Our goal isn't to overwhelm you with appointments. It's to help you build a sustainable and rewarding career.
Sports Physiotherapy & Community Partnerships
Interested in sports injuries, strength and conditioning or helping people return to the activities they love?
Doveston Health is the preferred health clinic for more than six local sporting clubs, gyms and wellness centres across the Moreton Bay region.
These partnerships provide opportunities to work with active individuals, local athletes and recreational sportspeople.
With mentoring, you'll have opportunities to develop skills in:
- Sports injury assessment and rehabilitation
- Return-to-sport planning and testing
- Strength and conditioning-based rehabilitation
- Gym-based exercise rehabilitation
- Injury prevention and education
- Objective strength and functional testing
- Sporting club and community referral pathways
As your experience develops, opportunities may also arise to become involved in local sporting partnerships and community activities.
Modern Clinic, Dedicated Rehab Gym & Advanced Technology
Our Morayfield clinic features private treatment rooms and a dedicated rehabilitation gym, allowing you to take patients from initial assessment through to progressive exercise-based rehabilitation.
You'll also have access to AxIT Strength Testing Technology, supporting objective strength assessment, functional testing and rehabilitation progress monitoring.
You'll learn to combine hands-on Physiotherapy, exercise rehabilitation, clinical reasoning and objective outcome measures to deliver evidence-informed care.
Diverse Clinical Experience
Our established referral pathways provide opportunities to gain experience across:
- Private musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
- Sports injuries and post-operative rehabilitation
- Strength and conditioning-based rehabilitation
- WorkCover and return-to-work rehabilitation
- NDIS participants
- Aged care and falls prevention
- Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) patients
- Medicare-funded chronic disease management
- Occupational health and functional rehabilitation
You'll be supported as you build confidence across different clinical presentations and patient populations.
Supportive Multidisciplinary Team
You'll work alongside a collaborative team of Physiotherapists, Accredited Exercise Physiologists, Podiatrists, Accredited Practising Dietitians and Diabetes Educators.
Our multidisciplinary environment encourages collaboration, shared learning and coordinated patient care.
You'll also have administration support, allowing you to focus on patients and professional development.
Genuine Long-Term Career Opportunities
As your experience and interests develop, there may be opportunities to progress into:
- Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy
- Advanced rehabilitation and strength and conditioning
- WorkCover and occupational rehabilitation
- NDIS and community healthcare
- Clinical mentoring and education
- Senior Physiotherapist positions
- Leadership and clinic management
We're looking for someone who wants to build a career, not just find their first job.

- Assessing and treating musculoskeletal and rehabilitation patients
- Developing individualised treatment and exercise programs
- Delivering hands-on treatment and gym-based rehabilitation

- Managing patients across private practice, NDIS, aged care, WorkCover, DVA and Medicare pathways

- Participating in daily mentoring and weekly clinical training
- Collaborating with our multidisciplinary allied health team
About You
We're looking for someone who is:

- Motivated, enthusiastic and willing to learn
- Interested in musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and active rehabilitation
- Interested in sports rehabilitation, occupational health or community care
- Professional, reliable and team-focused
- Open to feedback, mentoring and continuous improvement
- Passionate about helping people achieve meaningful outcomes
Previous private practice experience is not required.
We're more interested in your attitude, work ethic, communication skills and willingness to learn than how much clinical experience you already have.
