Qualified Electrician: $50–$60 per hour + super
Fourth-year apprentice: Above award rates + super
Do you take pride in your work and care about how you treat people?
Tradie Lady Elechick is looking for an experienced A-grade Electrician or fourth-year electrical apprentice to join our Adelaide business. Our work is predominantly residential, with an exciting and growing commercial side servicing facilities management clients.
We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to quality workmanship and friendly, respectful service. You’ll join us as we grow both sides of the business while maintaining the personal approach our customers know us for.
The work
You’ll be involved in a variety of electrical work, with responsibilities suited to your qualifications and experience:
- Residential fault finding, inspections and rectification.
- Power point, switch and lighting installations.
- Electrical appliance installations.
- Switchboard upgrades, RCD installations and mains wiring.
- Insurance work, including inspections, reports and electrical make-safes.
- Electrical maintenance and repairs for facilities management clients.
- Testing and job documentation, with qualified electricians responsible for issuing electronic Certificates of Compliance.
- Keeping customers and the team informed about job progress.
What you’ll bring
If you’re an A-grade Electrician
You’ll hold a current South Australian Electrical Worker’s Licence and be confident managing residential jobs independently. You’ll bring experience in appliance installations and insurance work, including explicit reporting and electrical make-safes.
If you’re a fourth-year apprentice
You’ll be in the fourth year of your electrical apprenticeship, with practical residential experience and a willingness to learn. We’d like to hear about the work you’ve done so far,
including any appliance installation or insurance work, and the skills you would like to develop.
Your duties will reflect your training stage, with appropriate supervision and support as you work towards becoming qualified and a long-term member of the team.
For either pathway we’re looking for someone who
- Works safely and takes pride in their workmanship.
- Is reliable, organised and communicates when plans change.
- Treats customers’ homes, privacy and circumstances with respect.
- Explains things clearly and welcomes questions.
- Works well with others and knows when to ask for support.
- Is interested in contributing to our growing facilities management work.
- Holds a full driver’s licence, police check and Working with Children Check.
What we offer
- Qualified electrician: $50–$60 per hour, based on experience and capability.
- Fourth-year apprentice: Above award rates.
- Super and Portable Long Service Leave contributions.
- Company vehicle for work use, uniform, iPad and work phone.
- Predominantly Adelaide metro work.
- Variety across residential services, insurance work and commercial facilities maintenance.
- The opportunity to contribute to a growing business where quality and customer care matter.
- Between 7:00am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday, occasional weekend work available.
Our approach
Our service is friendly, inclusive and non-judgmental. We are proud to support women, older people, LGBTQIA+ people, people with disability and women experiencing domestic violence.
Technical ability matters. So does helping a customer feel comfortable with you working in their home.
