About the role

Smile Quarter is a brand-new, purpose-designed dental practice opening in Hampton East, with a focus on dental implants, sleep dentistry and comprehensive dental care. We're creating a practice centred around exceptional patient care, a considered patient experience and a team that takes genuine pride in what they do.

This posting is for two positions: Dental Practice Manager and Dental Receptionist.

Dental Practice Manager

We're looking for an accomplished and commercially minded Practice Manager who can take ownership of the day-to-day operations of Smile Quarter while helping us build for the future. This is more than an administrative management role. You'll work closely with the Principal Dentist across operations, team development, patient experience and business growth. We're looking for someone who can see the bigger picture while still paying attention to the details. Someone who is comfortable making decisions, solving problems and turning ideas into action.

Key responsibilities

- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice and ensuring everything runs smoothly

- Leading, supporting and developing a high-performing team

- Managing recruitment, rostering, staffing and team performance

- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, workflows and efficiency

- Monitoring practice performance, KPIs and financial targets

- Contributing to marketing, patient acquisition and business development

- Overseeing the patient journey, treatment coordination and administrative systems

- Managing challenges and difficult conversations with confidence and professionalism

- Developing systems and processes as the practice evolves

- Working closely with the Principal Dentist on the ongoing growth and direction of the practice

About you

- Has solid leadership skills and a natural ability to take ownership

- Is highly organised and comfortable managing competing priorities

Experience within dental practice management would be an advantage, but we are equally interested in strong candidates from other industries who bring exceptional leadership, business acumen and people skills.

Dental Receptionist

Our receptionist will be one of the first people our patients meet and an important part of how they experience Smile Quarter. We're looking for someone warm, polished and naturally engaging. Someone who enjoys speaking with people, remembers the little details and knows how to make patients feel genuinely welcome and looked after. You'll also need to be exceptionally organised and composed. Reception is at the centre of the practice, and the role requires someone who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining a calm, professional and friendly presence.

Key responsibilities

- Creating a warm and professional experience for every patient

- Managing incoming calls, appointments, enquiries and patient communication

- Coordinating treatment appointments and patient follow-up

- Communicating treatment information and financial arrangements clearly and professionally

- Managing administrative tasks and patient records with a high level of accuracy

- Anticipating the needs of patients, clinicians and the wider team

- Handling sensitive or challenging situations with discretion and professionalism

- Supporting patient recalls, engagement and treatment coordination

- Assisting with marketing, social media and other practice projects when required





- Identifying opportunities to improve workflows and the patient experience

About you

Previous dental reception experience is highly regarded, but it isn't the only thing we value. Exceptional communication skills, initiative, professionalism and the right attitude are just as important.
