Valve Warehouse Australia is one of the country's leading online suppliers of industrial valves, fittings and irrigation essentials, supporting plumbers, farmers and engineers across Australia.

We've just opened a brand new warehouse in Echuca, and we're looking for someone to run the front of house and keep the orders moving. You'll be there from the start, helping shape how the site runs – a rare opportunity with big growth potential.

About the Role

You're the voice of the Echuca site and the person who keeps it organised.

The phone going while you're mid-order. A trade customer pulling in to collect. A delivery driver at the roller door. A plumber chasing where his gear's up to.

One thing to be clear about: this isn't a shop. No walk-in retail, no aisles to browse – we're an online business with a click and collect counter. Most of the day happens on the phone, in the inbox and in the order system.

You'll take the calls, process the orders, look after collections and keep everything tidy behind the scenes. When someone asks where their order is, you won't be reading it off a screen and hoping – you'll walk out into the warehouse and get the answer from the team.

The complex product questions aren't yours to answer. We have plumbing experts in house, so anything genuinely technical goes to them. What we need is someone switched on, organised and good with people, who can own the admin end and not let anything slip.

You'll also share the load with the same role in our Melbourne office – covering each other on the phones and keeping both sites moving. You're here to help us keep up with the growth, not carry it on your own.

What you'll be doing





- Answer and sort the calls and emails – handle what you can yourself, pass the technical ones to our plumbing expert.

- Process orders accurately – entering them, chasing what's outstanding, keeping records clean.

- Click and collect – looking after customers at pick-up, marking off collections accurately, meeting delivery drivers, keeping everyone updated.

- Office admin – the day-to-day that keeps a site running properly.

- Stay on top of backorders – know what's coming, when, and who's waiting on it.

- Work with the warehouse – stock checks, chasing orders, sorting problems end to end rather than handing them on.

What we're looking for

- Experience in plumbing, irrigation or building supplies is ideal – branch admin, order processing, customer service or a trade counter (Reece, Tradelink, or similar). You'll know the customers and pick up the products faster.

- Switched on and organised. You can hold three things at once – an order half-entered, a phone ringing, a driver waiting – and not drop any of them.

- Genuinely good on the phone. Warm, clear, efficient, and comfortable with tradies who want an answer and want it now.

- Tech and systems savvy. Comfortable across the tools of the job: phone systems and transferring calls, email and spreadsheets,



stock management, order processing and backorders. We run an online business, so the tech side is real. Experience with WooCommerce, Shippit and CIN7 is highly regarded, but not essential.

- Accurate. Orders, records and collections need to be right the first time.

- Positive judgement on when to escalate. You'll handle most of what comes at you – that's the point of the role. Knowing what you don't know is a strength, but so is backing yourself on the straightforward stuff.
