Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter for an upcoming FIFO shutdown project at Kens Bore, Western Australia. The project involves the replacement of buckets and the centre chute within a heavy industrial or mining environment.

The successful candidate will have hands-on mechanical fitting experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively within a shutdown maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out mechanical fitting, maintenance, dismantling and reassembly activities.
- Assist with the removal and replacement of buckets and the centre chute.
- Inspect mechanical components for wear, damage and alignment issues.
- Use hand tools, power tools and relevant mechanical fitting equipment safely.




- Follow engineering drawings, work instructions and site procedures.
- Work collaboratively with riggers, boilermakers and other trades.
- Comply with site safety procedures, permit-to-work requirements and PPE standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.

Requirements

- Relevant mechanical fitting trade qualification or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in mining, oil and gas, or heavy industrial environments.
- Shutdown or maintenance project experience preferred.
- Solid understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and complete the project duration.
- Valid Australian work rights as an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Pay: $70.00 – $86.00 per hour

Expected hours: 60.0 per week
