Ava Care Support

Bundamba

Are you a support worker who loves helping people build friendships, gain confidence and kick their personal goals?

Then we might just have the perfect opportunity for you!

At Ava Care Support, we're not about ticking boxes, filling shifts or doing things just because "that's how they've always been done."

We're about real people, genuine connections and support that actually means something!

MEET THE OPPORTUNITY!

We're currently looking for a wonderful support worker to support a lady in her 50s who lives in Bundamba, QLD.

She's looking for someone who can help her continue doing the things she enjoys while exploring new opportunities to build friendships, confidence and meaningful community connections.

Some of her interests include:

- Art and creative activities
- Sewing and craft groups
- Hydrotherapy and swimming activities
- Movies and social outings
- Organised day trips and community adventures
- Connecting with people in a similar age group

We want to help her find welcoming community groups where she can build genuine friendships and enjoy activities that make her happy.

And this is where YOU come in!

We're looking for someone who is proactive, creative, patient, genuinely neuroaffirming and passionate about helping people live life their way.

Someone who understands that great support isn't about taking over. It's about listening, encouraging choice, respecting independence and helping people achieve the things that matter to THEM.

WHAT MAKES AVA CARE SUPPORT DIFFERENT?

We're a growing disability support organisation operating across Brisbane and Sydney, with Support Coordination available Australia-wide.

We're proudly person-led, neuroaffirming and relationship-focused.

And we're building a workplace where our support workers feel just as valued as the participants they support.

Because happy, supported staff create better support experiences!

Here's what we're building:

- A positive, inclusive and supportive team culture.
- Genuine relationships between participants and support workers.
- Thoughtful participant and staff matching based on personalities, interests and skills.
- Open communication, teamwork and collaboration.
- Opportunities to grow your skills, confidence and career.

- A workplace where you can be yourself and feel respected.

No egos. No unnecessary drama. Just good humans doing meaningful work!

WHAT ABOUT THE HOURS?

This is a casual opportunity, with hours initially starting smaller and the potential to increase as supports develop.

And here's something important!

We don't just want to know what hours you can work. We want to know what hours you WANT to work towards!

As Ava Care Support continues to grow across Brisbane, we'll work with our casual team to explore opportunities to build their hours, where suitable shifts become available.

We want to understand your goals too!

Whether you're looking to build a consistent casual workload, gain experience or grow with an organisation that genuinely values its people, we'd love to hear from you.

Additional hours are dependent on participant needs, suitability and service growth and cannot be guaranteed.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for support workers who are:

- Passionate about person-centred and neuroaffirming disability support.
- Confident supporting community participation and social connections.
- Proactive, reliable and excellent communicators.
- Respectful of individual choices, sensory preferences and communication needs.
- Creative thinkers who can help participants explore activities and opportunities.
