As Interstellar Installs continues to grow, we are seeking an enthusiastic, highly organised and motivated Finance Manager to join our expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive and eager to contribute to the ongoing success and growth of our business.
Offering flexible working hours of approximately 20+ hours per week, this role is ideal for an experienced finance qualified looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity within a growing company.
This is a work-from-home position, with an initial period of in-office onboarding to meet the team, receive training and become familiar with our systems and processes before transitioning to remote work.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing accounts receivable and payable.
- Preparing and processing customer invoices.
- Overseeing payroll and superannuation.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and bank reconciliations.
- Preparing financial reports and monitoring cash flow.
- Assisting with budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Supporting GST, BAS and other financial obligations.
- Managing accounting software and improving financial processes.
- Monitoring business expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Providing financial guidance and support to management.
- Supporting the financial operations and ongoing growth of the business.
The ideal candidate:
- 2–4 years of experience in accounting, finance or a similar role.
- Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Business highly regarded.
- Experience using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or similar.
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, payable, payroll and financial reporting.
- Understanding of Australian taxation, GST, BAS and superannuation requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Confident working independently, managing priorities and taking initiative.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, proactive and enthusiastic about contributing to a growing business.
