About Us

Oliver Brown is a café known for its delicious food, quality coffee, desserts and welcoming customer experience. We are looking for a passionate and reliable Breakfast Chef to join our team at our Macarthur Square Shopping Centre location.

We are seeking someone who takes pride in preparing fresh, high-quality meals, works well under pressure, and can help deliver a consistently excellent dining experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast and café-style dishes, including eggs, omelettes, toast, breakfast meals and other menu items.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented consistently to Oliver Brown’s quality standards.
- Manage food preparation and cooking during busy breakfast and lunch services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, cooking equipment and food preparation areas.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Monitor food stock levels, assist with stock rotation and minimise food waste.
- Ensure ingredients and prepared food are properly stored, dated and labelled.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
- Follow recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards.
- Assist with kitchen opening, closing and cleaning duties as required.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:





- Previous experience as a breakfast chef, café chef or cook in a busy hospitality environment.
- Good knowledge of breakfast menus, egg cookery and café-style food preparation.
- The ability to work efficiently and maintain food quality during busy periods.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude, reliability and a robust work ethic.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays as required.

Relevant commercial kitchen experience is essential. Formal culinary qualifications and food safety training will be highly regarded.
