TELECOMMUNICATIONS RIGGER / FULL-TIME

A1 Communication Rigging Services (AUST) Pty Ltd is a Western Australian telecommunications contractor specialising in the construction, installation, maintenance and upgrade of telecommunications infrastructure.

We deliver projects throughout metropolitan and regional Western Australia and the Northern Territory for telecommunications, infrastructure and resources-sector clients.

We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Rigger to join our team on a full time basis.

The role involves the construction of telecommunications structures and the installation, maintenance and repair of external telecommunications equipment, including radio and mobile phone antennas, feeders, cabling and associated telecommunications infrastructure.

ABOUT THE ROLE

- Full-time position
- Salary: $83,200-$104,000 per annum + superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience
- Travel and site allowances may apply in addition to the base salary
- Position based in Perth, Western Australia
- Work across metropolitan and regional Western Australia and the Northern Territory
- Regular travel and working away from home will be required
- Some work may be undertaken outside standard working hours depending on project requirements
- Applicants must currently be residing in Australia
- Applicants must have current rights to work full-time in Australia

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Construct and assemble telecommunications towers, monopoles and associated structures
- Install, maintain and repair external telecommunications equipment
- Install, replace and align radio and mobile phone antennas
- Install and maintain feeders, coaxial cables,



fibre cabling and associated cable support systems
- Install mounting hardware, brackets, cable trays and associated telecommunications equipment
- Install and replace RRUs, microwave dishes and associated equipment
- Perform rigging and lifting activities associated with telecommunications installations
- Assist with crane and winch-assisted lifting and installation works
- Climb telecommunications towers and structures to undertake installation, maintenance and repair works
- Inspect and perform basic testing of installed telecommunications equipment
- Undertake telecommunications maintenance, upgrades, fault-finding and rectification works
- Read and interpret site plans, construction drawings and work instructions
- Participate in risk assessments, pre-start meetings and toolbox talks
- Maintain compliance with company, client and site-specific safety requirements

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- Relevant experience in telecommunications rigging, telecommunications infrastructure installation or a similar field-based telecommunications role
- Current Working at Heights certification
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Rigging High Risk Work Licence
- Dogging High Risk Work Licence
- Construction White Card
- Current Australian driver's licence




- Ability to safely work at heights
- Ability to read and follow construction drawings, site plans and work instructions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability and willingness to travel and work away from home
- Currently residing in Australia
- Current Australian full-time work rights

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

- Perth-based
- EWP High Risk Work Licence
- Forklift High Risk Work Licence
- Excavator competency or ticket
- Confined Space Entry certification
- Tower Rescue training
- EME Awareness training
- Previous experience working on mine sites
- Experience constructing telecommunications towers and associated structures
- Experience installing and maintaining radio and mobile telecommunications antennas
- Experience installing feeders, coaxial and fibre cabling
- Experience with telecommunications maintenance and fault-finding
- Familiarity with telecommunications testing equipment and installation standards

The successful applicant will be safety-focused, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a small field crew. They must be comfortable working outdoors, travelling throughout Western Australia and the Northern Territory, and working away from home when required.

Location: Perth, Western Australia, with travel throughout WA and NT.
