About the Role:
We are seeking a casual/part-time gardener to join our esteemed garden maintenance team. Our team at Lucas House and Garden consists of Melbourne’s most experienced, professional, and highly qualified gardeners who use best-practice horticultural techniques to maintain healthy, sustainable, and vibrant gardens.
In this role, you will leverage your horticultural knowledge and at least 1 year of experience to perform comprehensive garden care in some of Melbourne's most beautiful gardens.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain & Develop various types of high end gardens
- Prune, trim, and shape plants, shrubs, and trees to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
- Monitor and treat plants for pests and diseases, using environmentally friendly methods.
- Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Provide advice to clients on plant care & garden maintenance needs
- Collaborate with the team to complete projects on time and to the highest standards.
Skills & Experience:
- Residency: Must reside in Australia and hold full Australian work rights.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in high-end garden maintenance.
- Education: Certificate II in Horticulture or higher.
- Knowledge: Strong and detailed horticultural know-how is a big plus.
- Attitude: Positive vibes and enthusiasm are a must!
- Work Ethic: Punctual, reliable, and honest.
- Personality: Friendly, outgoing, and a great communicator.
- Detail-Oriented: An eagle eye for detail.
- Bonus Points: Experience with irrigation systems and soft-landscaping is a cherry on top.
