Skilled Labourer – Commercial Gutter Cleaning & Building Services
Mechfield FM are seeking a Skilled Labourer to join our team in, specialising in commercial gutter cleaning and building maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical, hands-on experience who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in delivering quality work. Working across a variety of commercial client sites, you’ll undertake a diverse range of maintenance activities while developing your skills and experience within the facilities maintenance industry.
Responsibilities:
- Operating specialised industrial wet/dry vacuum equipment to clean gutters, downpipes and roof drainage systems across various commercial buildings.
- Performing gutter cleaning using elevated work platforms (EWPs) and other approved access equipment.
- Carrying out general labouring and maintenance activities across commercial building services.
- Assisting qualified tradespeople with various maintenance, installation and repair works.
- Supporting site preparation,
equipment handling, cleaning and general property maintenance.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures, particularly when working at heights.
- Maintaining tools, equipment and vehicles in a clean and safe condition.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous gutter cleaning experience is highly regarded but not essential.
- Experience in general labouring, building maintenance, construction or facilities management.
- A current valid Australian driver’s license.
- Australian citizenship is essential due to the contractual and security requirements of our clients.
- Working at Heights, White card and EWP High Risk Work License, or willingness to obtain.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks
- A reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and workplace safety.
- A willingness to learn new skills, undertake additional training and expand your capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
