Easy Fix Auto is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an automotive professional who enjoys diagnosing vehicle faults, carrying out mechanical repairs and maintenance, and ensuring vehicles operate safely and efficiently.

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, servicing and repairing a range of motor vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications, workplace procedures and safety standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a busy automotive workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect vehicles and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Carry out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and general mechanical repairs on various motor vehicles.
- Diagnose, repair and replace faulty engines, transmissions, braking, steering and suspension components.
- Dismantle, inspect, repair and reassemble mechanical components and vehicle systems as required.




- Perform oil changes, filter replacements, tune-ups and other routine vehicle servicing tasks.
- Test, adjust and repair mechanical components to ensure proper functionality and safe vehicle operation.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults and determine appropriate repair procedures.
- Conduct road tests and final vehicle inspections to ensure repairs and servicing meet required standards.
- Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, replacement parts and work completed.
- Follow workshop procedures, workplace health and safety requirements and maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Qualifications & Experience

- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent recognised automotive qualification.
- Relevant practical experience working as a Motor Mechanic or Automotive Mechanic.
- Strong understanding of vehicle engines, transmissions, braking, steering and suspension systems.
- Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical and electrical faults.
- Ability to carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs independently and efficiently.
- Strong fault-finding, problem-solving and technical skills.
- Valuable communication, organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a workshop team.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace health and safety standards.
- Current Australian driver's licence is highly regarded.
