A mechanical services business is opening a new sheetmetal facility in Perth and needs trade qualified fabricators on the floor.
This is a new shop. The plant is recent, the team is being built from scratch, and there is a full production programme behind it rather than a short project. Permanent, local, and home every night.
What you would be doing:
Working from fabrication drawings and CAD layouts to make ductwork and sheetmetal components to measure
Marking out, cutting, folding and forming on guillotines, folders and press
Welding and assembly, TIG and MIG
Deburring, finishing and checking the quality of your own work
Working to Australian Standards and to project specifications
Keeping the shop safe and tidy and working to WHS requirements
What we are looking for:
A sheetmetal or fabrication trade qualification, or demonstrable equivalent experience
Able to read and interpret fabrication drawings and mechanical layouts
Confident on guillotines, folders and hand and power tools
Ductwork or HVAC experience is an advantage rather than a requirement
Construction White Card
The right to work in Australia on an ongoing basis
Two of these roles start before Christmas. The remainder start in January 2027 for full production.
Pay is $42 to $48 an hour plus superannuation, depending on experience and tickets.
If you want to know more, call Chris on 0468 063 857 or apply here and we will come back to you.
Pay: $42.00 – $48.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38.0 per week
Work Location: In person
