Event Day Staff | 5K Foam Fest
Looking to earn some extra money in a fun, outdoor setting? Join the 5K Foam Fest day staff team! Earn $32.18 per hour helping participants enjoy a day of foam, obstacles and fun. This is a one-day casual role, and no previous event experience is required. If you’re friendly, reliable and enjoy working outdoors, we’d love to hear from you!
The details
- Date: Saturday, November 28, 2026
- Location: Event Central at Caribbean Park - 1280 Ferntree Gully Rd, Scoresby, VIC, 3179
- Start time: 6:30 a.m.
- Finish time: Between noon and 4 p.m., depending on your assigned station. Station assignments are confirmed on the morning of the event.
- Pay: $32.18 per hour, inclusive of casual loading, under the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award [MA000080].
- Payment: Pay is deposited directly into your bank account after the event. We aim to get everyone paid promptly.
What is 5K Foam Fest?
5K Foam Fest isn’t a hardcore race. It’s a FUNCORE race! Participants come to have fun with family, friends and co-workers while making their way through a 5K course filled with foam, mud, obstacles and water.

What you’ll do
You’ll be assigned to one of our event stations, which may include registration, gear check, the kids or festival area, merchandise sales, the start or finish line, obstacles, hydration or parking.
Depending on your station, you’ll:
- Welcome participants and interact with guests in a friendly,
professional manner.
- Answer questions, provide directions and assist participants.
- Help keep your station tidy, organized and protected.
- Support the Operations team as needed.
What to expect
This is an active, outdoor role. The event goes ahead rain or shine, so come prepared for the weather and to spend your shift on your feet, interacting with participants and helping the day run smoothly.
What you’ll bring
- A friendly, enthusiastic attitude.
- Reliability and readiness to start at 6:30 a.m.
- English verbal communication skills to assist participants and communicate with the team.
- Your own arrangements for transportation to and from the event.
Customer service, cash handling, manual labour or outdoor work experience is helpful, but not required.
