As our workload continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Pipefitter / Industrial Plumber to join our team.

About the Role

This is not a domestic plumbing role.

You will work as part of Pipe-Weld's project and site teams delivering industrial plumbing, mechanical pipework and process pipework installations across a range of industrial facilities.

Pipe-Weld's current capabilities include industrial plumbing for cooling towers, plant rooms and water treatment, process pipework installation, equipment installation and stainless and carbon steel pipework.

Depending on the project, your work may include:

- Installation of industrial and process pipework
- Mechanical pipe fitting and assembly
- Plant room installations
- Water and wastewater treatment pipework
- Installation of pumps, valves and associated mechanical equipment
- Stainless steel and carbon steel pipework installation
- Installation and modification of existing pipework systems
- Working from drawings, specifications and site requirements
- Working alongside Pipe-Weld's welders, fabricators, engineers and project teams
- General mechanical installation and site works

About You

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, understands industrial environments and can work safely and effectively as part of a project team.





To be successful, you will ideally have:

- Trade qualification in plumbing, mechanical fitting, pipe fitting or a related trade
- Previous industrial, mechanical or process pipework experience
- Strong pipe fitting and mechanical installation skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Strong commitment to WHS and safe work practices
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Construction White Card
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Australian working rights

Highly Regarded Experience

Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:

- Industrial plumbing
- Mechanical/process pipe fitting
- Water and wastewater treatment
- Plant room installations
- PVC / UPVC / ABS pipework
- Stainless steel and carbon steel pipework
- Pumps, valves and associated mechanical equipment
- Food and beverage processing facilities
- Pharmaceutical facilities
- Industrial manufacturing environments
