Tefco Piping Systems is a growing, Australian family-owned manufacturer and supplier of poly pipe and fittings based in Westbury, Tasmania. We're entering an exciting phase of growth, and we want to build our future team from the ground up by training people who are keen to learn.

About the Role

This is an entry-level role and a great first step into manufacturing. You don't need previous factory experience. What matters most is a positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn.

You'll start on night shift, working alongside experienced team members who will train and support you as you learn our processes, equipment and safety standards. Once you've completed probation, you'll move onto a rotating roster that shares day and night shifts across the production team.

As you build your skills, you'll have the chance to progress into roles such as Extrusion Operator and, over time, Team Leader.

What You'll Learn and Do

- Support our Extrusion Operators and production team with day-to-day manufacturing
- Pick, pack and prepare stock for dispatch
- Load and unload trucks and containers
- Check, store and replenish stock accurately
- Keep the production floor, warehouse and yard clean and safe
- Operate forklifts and lifting equipment safely, following WHS procedures
- Speak up about faults, hazards or safety concerns

- Structured on-the-job training with experienced team members

- Ongoing development and regular check-ins on your progress
- A genuine pathway to Operator and Team Leader roles as the business grows

About You

- Keen to learn and open to feedback
- Reliable, punctual and committed to showing up for your team
- A positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic
- Comfortable working night shift to start, then a rotating day and night roster after probation
- Good communication skills and a team-first approach
- Able to do physical work, including lifting and moving stock
- Current driver's licence (required)
- Forklift licence is a bonus. If you don't have one yet, tell us; we may be able to support the right person to get it.

Pay: From $26.44 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38.0 per week
