Swap ward shifts for community nursing.

Closer Care Nursing is a growing Sydney community nursing provider delivering clinical care to older Australians in their own homes. We're looking for a Registered Nurse to join our small, supportive team. You'll visit clients across Sydney, with your schedule planned in advance. Once your last visit is done, you can head home and finish your notes there.

About us :

We work alongside established aged care providers under the Support at Home program. Our caseload has grown to the point where we need a second Registered Nurse to join our Director and Principal RN. You'll be joining at the start, which means real autonomy, continuity with your clients, and a direct say in how we do things. The role You'll deliver hands-on clinical care that helps clients stay safely at home.

Typical visits include:

- General nursing reviews and comprehensive nursing assessments

- Wound care, including complex and chronic wounds

- Catheter care (IDC and SPC) and continence management

- Clear, timely clinical documentation and communication with care managers and GPs

- Recognising and escalating deterioration

Hours

- Monday to Friday, generally 8:00am – 5:00pm, with some early visits from 7:00am

- Occasional weekends and public holidays,

- Schedules planned in advance, built around your availability where we can

- Documentation time is paid, including notes completed from home

About you

Essential:

- Current general registration as a Registered Nurse with Ahpra, with no conditions

- At least 3 years' post-registration experience, including recent community, home care or aged care nursing

- Confident working independently in clients' homes and making sound clinical decisions

- Skilled in wound care

- Full driver's licence and a reliable, comprehensively insured car

- National Police Certificate issued within the last 3 years, or an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willing to obtain one before starting)

- Current CPR certification

- Permanent Australian work rights, or a visa with no work restrictions

- Comfortable with digital clinical notes on a smartphone, laptop or tablet

Highly regarded:

- Experience with Support at Home or Home Care Packages clients

- Post-graduate wound care training
