About You:

- Alertness and Vigilance: Remaining alert and vigilant throughout your shifts is essential for monitoring the individuals under their care and responding promptly to any changes or emergencies.
- Effective communication: effective communication is essential when following and conveying information through care documentation. You will need to follow written protocols precisely, especially in medication management, required checklists, mobility transfers, and emergency procedures. You will also need to clearly and accurately record all relevant observations, changes in the client’s condition, incidents, and care provided in the appropriate documents.
- Attention to Detail: Paying close attention to detail is important for accurately documenting observations, administering medication, and ensuring that individuals receive the appropriate care and support.
- Follows Instructions: To abide by the instructions provided on how to provide care to the participant and instructions on how to complete duties.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Support workers must be able to think quickly and make sound decisions, particularly in emergencies or situations requiring immediate attention.

Support Hours: Monday and Thursday from 8 AM to 1 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Support

- Provide person-centered care and support in accordance with individual support plans.
- Support client with meal planning, preparation, and household tasks.




- Assist with community access, social participation, appointments, and recreational activities.
- Promote client independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health, wellbeing, or support needs.

Pet Care Responsibilities

- Assist with pet care of dogs, including feeding, exercise, grooming, and maintaining clean living areas.
- Walk dogs and provide exercise appropriate to the animal's needs.
- Monitor pet wellbeing and report any concerns regarding health or behavior.
- Ensure pet/s are handled safely and cared for according to owner instructions.

Household Assistance

- Light cleaning, laundry, and general household maintenance.
- Grocery shopping and errand assistance.
- Maintaining a secure, hygienic, and organized home environment.

Requirements:

- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
- Experience working as a personal care support worker
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Certificate III in Individual Supports /Disability Cert IV or equivalent
- Current First Aid and CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening check
