About the Role
D Tech-Engineering is looking for a technically minded Mechatronics Engineer to join us on a contract basis.

The role has two parts. You will work with our Products and Solutions Engineer to develop, build, and commission control solutions. You will also attend client sites to service, inspect, and troubleshoot existing controls systems.

Key Responsibilities

Project and solutions work

- Assist with developing and implementing control solutions with our Products and Solutions Engineer
- Configure, test, and commission systems on site
- Diagnose and resolve communication faults between devices, controllers, and monitoring systems
- Prepare technical documentation, commissioning records, and reports

Site servicing

- Attend client sites to carry out scheduled servicing and inspections of controls systems
- Check system operation, communication status, alarms, and fault logs, and verify that systems perform as intended
- Identify faults and defects, and report them clearly with recommended rectification
- Record service findings accurately in our asset and service management system




- Coordinate with licensed electricians and subcontractors where rectification requires electrical work

General

- Liaise with engineers, technicians, contractors, building managers, and clients

Requirements

- Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
- Comfortable working independently on site and reporting findings clearly
- Good attention to detail in testing and record keeping
- Transparent written and verbal communication with technical and non technical people
- Current NSW driver’s licence and willingness to travel to sites across Sydney and NSW

Desirable

- Experience with building services, mechanical, or fire safety systems

Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
