Estimating Manager | Residential Builder & Developer

- Salary: $130k – $150k + Super (Negotiable based on experience)

The Opportunity
We are partnering with a well-established and highly respected residential builder and developer based in a modern, vibrant office in Ormeau. With a robust and growing pipeline of upcoming projects, prodominantly investment style homes but some one-off custom homes & townhouse developments, they are looking for a hands-on and strategic Estimating Manager to take the reins and oversee the entire estimating department. This is a key leadership role where you will not only drive accuracy and efficiency across tenders and take-offs but also mentor and guide the estimating team as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee, manage, and mentor the estimating team to ensure smooth departmental operations.
- Review and manage estimating processes for residential builds, custom homes, and townhouse projects.
- Oversee cost planning, trade quoting, subcontracting packages, and tender submissions.
- Collaborate closely with the sales, production, and project management teams.
- Ensure all estimates align with company margin targets, quality standards, and timelines.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Proven experience as an Estimating Manager, Senior Estimator, or similar leadership role within the residential construction sector.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to bring out the best in a team.
- High attention to detail, commercial acumen, and strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to construction workflows.
