About The Heritage House

The Heritage House is a restaurant and bar located in Kenthurst, offering stunning views of the Blue Mountains. We are passionate about quality food, regional flavours, and warm hospitality, creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team. This is an opportunity to contribute your culinary expertise, bring creativity to the menu, and help maintain the high standards of food quality and service that our guests expect.

Key Responsibilities

As part of our kitchen team, your responsibilities will include:

- Planning and coordinating food preparation and cooking to ensure dishes are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting menu items to a consistently high standard.
- Assisting with menu planning and development.
- Managing food costs, calculating ingredient requirements, and ensuring supplies are ordered within budget and delivered on time.
- Selecting, training, and mentoring kitchen staff, including demonstrating cooking techniques to new team members.




- Collaborating with management and kitchen staff on menus, recipes, and food preparation methods.
- Maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across all kitchen operations.

Skills and Qualifications

- An AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in a relevant field, consistent with ANZSCO Skill Level 2 requirements.
- At least one year of experience as a Chef or in a related role.
- Strong cooking skills and a good understanding of food preparation and presentation.
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Valuable communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
- A strong commitment to food quality, kitchen hygiene, and food safety.
