We are seeking a customer-focused and organised Front Counter Sales & Customer Service Representative to join our team in the fencing, sheds and verandah industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting walk-in customers, handling phone enquiries, preparing quotes and sales orders, and following up with customers to support sales and ensure excellent customer service.

Candidates with previous experience in fencing, sheds, verandahs, building supplies or a similar trade-related industry are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet and assist walk-in customers, providing professional and friendly service.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer enquiries.
- Understand customer requirements and provide information about fencing, sheds, verandahs and related products.
- Prepare and issue customer quotations based on their requirements.
- Process sales orders accurately and ensure all relevant details are recorded.
- Follow up on outstanding quotations to convert enquiries into sales.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal team members regarding orders, pricing and product availability.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales documentation and order information using computer systems.




- Provide general administrative and sales support to ensure smooth daily operations.

Skills and Qualifications

- Previous experience in front counter sales, customer service or sales administration.
- Experience in the fencing, sheds, verandahs, building supplies or construction industry is highly regarded.
- Computer literate, with the ability to use email, spreadsheets and sales or order management systems.
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills, both over the phone and face-to-face.
- Strong attention to detail when preparing quotations and processing orders.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, friendly and customer-focused attitude.
- Strong organisational and follow-up skills.

Preferred Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys dealing with customers, has a practical understanding of fencing, sheds or verandah products, and is confident handling sales enquiries from the initial customer contact through to quotation, order processing and follow-up.

Previous industry knowledge is an advantage, as the role requires the ability to understand customer needs and assist with product-related enquiries.

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
