Position Overview

Synergy Pharmacy Group is seeking a motivated, reliable and detail-oriented Compounding Technician or Compounding Assistant to join our pharmacy team.

This chance involves working one day per week, with an immediate start, supporting the preparation of compounded pharmaceutical products under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

The position may suit a pharmacy student, pharmaceutical science student or an individual with relevant pharmacy or compounding experience who is looking to develop practical skills in a professional pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the preparation of compounded pharmaceutical products under pharmacist supervision.
- Accurately measure, weigh and handle ingredients in accordance with approved procedures.
- Follow compounding instructions, standard operating procedures and quality standards.
- Assist with labelling, packaging and documentation for pharmacist checking.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised compounding workspace.
- Assist with stock management, ingredient preparation and inventory monitoring.
- Maintain accurate records and report any discrepancies to the supervising pharmacist.
- Support other pharmacy-related duties as required, within the employee's training and responsibilities.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

- Currently studying Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, laboratory or compounding environment.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical calculations and compounding equipment.
- Knowledge of pharmacy procedures and stock management.

Employment Information

Work Arrangement: One day per week, with scheduling arrangements to be discussed.

Commencement: Immediate start.

Remuneration: In accordance with the applicable award classification, qualifications and experience.

Appropriate training and supervision will be provided based on the successful candidate's experience and responsibilities.
