We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Support Worker to provide personal care and daily living support to a participant based in Muswellbrook. This role requires a worker who is physically capable, confident in manual handling and transfers, and committed to upholding the dignity and privacy of the people they support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with getting out of bed and safe transfers to and from the shower and other areas
- Providing personal care including showering, drying, dressing and personal hygiene
- Preparing meals and supporting general daily living tasks
- Transporting the participant to appointments and supporting community access
About You
You bring hands-on experience in personal care and physical support, and you're confident working with participants who have mobility limitations. You work with care and professionalism, and you follow support plans and manual handling guidelines precisely.
You will need:
- Demonstrated experience in personal care and physical transfers (essential)
- Manual handling training (essential)
- Ability to follow an individual support plan
- Valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to transport the participant
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- COVID-19 vaccination as required
Desirable:
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or Community Services
- Experience supporting participants with no lower-limb mobility
