The Role
EPEC Group is looking for a Power Systems Engineer to join our Engineering team in Brisbane.

You will take technical responsibility for consulting projects across generation, high voltage transmission and distribution,



leading power system studies and guiding projects through the enquiry, application, registration and design phases.

Responsibilities

- Perform and lead power system studies
- Manage the enquiry, application, registration and design phases for large energy user and renewable energy projects, including HV grid connections, substation design and generating plant power systems
- Carry out site inspections, provide advice and prepare reports
- Review designs for compliance with Australian Standards, statutory requirements and client specifications
- Provide technical advice to the engineering team and project staff involved in the execution of works
- Support tender submissions and proposals and help EPEC pursue new clients and project opportunities
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, drafters and technicians
- Help plan and schedule tasks within the department
- Work towards Chartered Engineer status through ongoing professional development

About You

- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the electrical engineering industry
- Demonstrated experience with power system analysis tools
- Familiarity with engineering codes, regulations,



best practices and performance standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
