Full Job Description - Home Owners Warranty Delegate (with General Insurance Competency).

We are seeking a talented individual to join our small team at ABS Insurance Brokers. This is a full-time role and is based in Bankstown Aerodrome, NSW. Parking available.

Your role is to support the Home Warranty and General Insurance team members by focusing on client servicing activity, policy administration, renewal processing, endorsement handling, and other broking-related functions for general insurance placements. This role will have defined portfolio responsibilities and will contribute to the growth and retention of profitable client portfolios.

We will count on you to:

- Eligibility & Profile Management: Oversees and submits builder eligibility applications and periodic reviews to state authorities (e.g., NSW HBCF/icare).
- Project Certificate Issuance: Facilitates the immediate processing of specific project risk certificates before residential work commences or deposits are taken.
- Financial Analysis: Reviews corporate balance sheets, net tangible assets (NTA), and margins to ensure the builder aligns with statutory financial health benchmarks.




- Provide timely support to Home Warranty and General Insurance team members with client, insurer, and policy documentation.
- Assist in client service activities including client contact, portfolio administration, and liaising with underwriters.
- Manage client debtors alongside team members to maintain control of accounts payable and minimize bad debts.
- Claims experience and the ability to confidently manage property claims and escalations

What you need to have:

- Tier 1 or Tier 2 Financial Services / General Insurance accreditation (or equivalent regional general insurance qualification).
- Proficiency in modern insurance broker systems, underwriter submission portals, and statutory warranty web portals.
- Strong knowledge and application of insurance broking principles, insurance products and services
- Solid communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and growth
