Disability Support Worker — Quinns Rocks

We’re looking for a patient, reliable and engaging support worker to support a child with complex disability in the family home in Quinns Rocks.

Initially, the role offers one four-hour shift per week, with adaptable times. Additional shifts may become available as the worker builds rapport with the child and family.

Your role

- Provide attentive, continuous supervision and assistance with daily routines.
- Encourage communication, play and activities aligned with therapy goals.
- Follow individual support plans, including seizure management and safety procedures.
- Assist with light household tasks and meal preparation when supervision has been safely handed over to a parent.
- Build a positive, respectful relationship with the child and family.

About you

You have experience supporting children with complex disability, autism and non-verbal communication.



Experience with epilepsy and following seizure management plans is highly valued.

You are warm, patient and proactive, can remain attentive throughout a shift, and understand the importance of reliable, consistent support. You are comfortable working alongside parents and willing to complete participant-specific training.

Requirements

- Current NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Australian working rights.
- Relevant disability or community services qualifications are desirable.
