Motel Manager – 3 Month Contract | Launceston, TAS

Potential for Extension | Immediate Start Available

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and hands-on Motel Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our established 40-room motel in Launceston, Tasmania.

This is an initial 3-month position, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will be commercially minded, confident working independently, possess excellent customer service skills and take pride in maintaining high standards across all aspects of motel operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily motel operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient guest experience.
- Manage guest enquiries, reservations, check-ins and check-outs.
- Take ownership of revenue management, including optimising room rates, occupancy and overall accommodation revenue to maximise property profitability.
- Monitor booking trends, market demand and competitor pricing to identify revenue opportunities.
- Coordinate housekeeping, maintenance and general property presentation.
- Supervise and support staff, including rostering and daily task allocation.
- Manage online booking platforms, maintain accurate availability and respond to guest feedback.
- Handle day-to-day operational issues and ensure the property is maintained to a high standard.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency,



guest satisfaction and overall business performance.

About You

- Previous motel, hotel or accommodation management experience is highly regarded.
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of accommodation revenue management.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working independently, making decisions and taking ownership of daily operations.
- Experience with property management systems and online booking platforms.
- A practical, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Reliable, professional and committed to delivering a positive guest experience.
