Whitton Malt House Pty Ltd operates Whitton Malt House, a busy regional dining, accommodation and events venue at Whitton, NSW, between Leeton and Griffith. We run a la carte service alongside functions and events, and our restaurant showcases local Riverina produce. We are seeking one or more qualified chefs who can run a section, help plan and cost dishes, and deliver consistent, high-quality food. Suits Demi Chef, Chef de Partie or Sous Chef level.

Task & responsibilities

- Plan and prepare menus and dishes across a la carte, functions and events
- Estimate food requirements and costs, and order supplies
- Monitor food quality, presentation, portion control and waste
- Run a section through prep, service and pack down
- Guide and supervise junior kitchen staff as required
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards; rotate and label stock




- Follow and contribute to standardised recipes and dish presentation

Qualification & experience

- Qualified chef: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Experience at Demi Chef, Chef de Partie or Sous Chef level
- Confident running a section through busy services and large functions
- Calm and organised under pressure, and able to step up and lead when required
- A strong work ethic, with a consistent record of punctuality and reliability
- Clear communicator who works well as part of a team
- Good availability, including weekends
- Current driver's licence (venue is out of town)
