About Us
NoSound Acoustics & Constructions is a growing Melbourne-based commercial construction company delivering projects across Victoria.
We specialise in commercial fit-outs, acoustic installations, architectural finishes, external cladding systems, framing, plastering and general construction works. Our projects range from offices, schools and hospitality venues through to apartment developments, government projects and industrial facilities.
As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a motivated 2nd or 3rd Year Carpentry Apprentice who wants to build a long-term career in commercial construction. We welcome applications from both traditional and adult apprentices who are committed to learning and growing with our team.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across a wide range of commercial construction disciplines while working alongside experienced tradespeople.
You will assist with and learn:
- Timber and metal stud framing
- Internal commercial fit-outs
- Suspended ceilings and bulkheads
- Door and hardware installation
- Architectural wall and ceiling finishes
- Acoustic wall and ceiling panel installations
- External cladding systems
- Feature walls and bespoke finishes
- General carpentry and construction works
- Reading plans and understanding commercial building systems
- Working safely and efficiently alongside multiple trades
No two projects are the same, giving you the opportunity to develop a broad skill set that goes well beyond standard residential carpentry.
What We're Looking For
- Currently completing a 2nd or 3rd Year Carpentry Apprenticeship (adult apprentices are encouraged to apply)
- Genuine interest in commercial construction
- White Card
- Driver's Licence and reliable transport
- Basic hand tools
- Reliable, punctual and eager to learn
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work well within a team
Highly Regarded
- Experience on commercial construction sites
- Experience using power tools and reading plans
- Exposure to framing, plastering or cladding
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket
- Working at Heights ticket

Recruitment Process
Successful applicants will initially complete a paid trial period to ensure the role is the right fit for both the apprentice and our team. Following a successful trial, we are committed to supporting the successful applicant through the remainder of their carpentry apprenticeship and providing long-term employment opportunities.
